In short
- You run your own travel business. GoLoc brings you travelers, handles payments and gives you the tools.
- GoLoc keeps an 18% commission on the fare. Your share is credited after each completed trip, and you can withdraw from ₹500.
- Keep travelers safe, keep your word on confirmed trips, and keep everything inside the app.
1. Who this agreement is between
This Captain Agreement is between GoLoc, operated by [Proprietor full name], sole proprietor, GSTIN [GSTIN], of [Registered business address] ("GoLoc"), and you, a person who registers in the GoLoc Captain app to offer services as a Captain or a Guide ("you" or "Captain").
It applies alongside the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. You accept it when you tick the agreement box while registering in the Captain app. If this agreement and the Terms of Use conflict on a matter about Captains, this agreement wins.
2. Our relationship
- You are an independent service provider. You aren't GoLoc's employee, agent, franchisee or partner, and nothing in this agreement creates an employment relationship.
- You decide whether to accept a booking, your availability, and how you deliver your services, within this agreement and the law.
- You may work with other platforms or with your own customers. You may not move GoLoc travelers off the platform (see section 7).
3. Captain or Guide
- Captain: may offer experiences, guiding, transport, stays and multi-day trip packages with Normal, Medium and Lavish tiers.
- Guide: accompanies travelers in person and shows them where to go and what to do. Guides offer guiding and experiences only, not transport or packages.
You operate in one home city, chosen when you register. Only GoLoc can change it after approval.
4. Eligibility and verification
To take bookings you must:
- be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to work in India;
- pass GoLoc's identity verification (KYC) with a valid government ID, and any further checks we reasonably request;
- if you transport travelers, hold a valid driving licence, vehicle registration, insurance, fitness certificate and any permit required for carrying passengers commercially (for example a tourist or contract carriage permit), and keep them valid;
- if you guide at sites that require an approved or licensed guide (for example certain monuments), hold that approval;
- hold any licence, registration or permission your services need, such as for accommodation or adventure activities.
Everything you give us must be true and current. Tell us within 7 days if any document expires or is suspended. GoLoc may refuse, pause or remove any profile at its reasonable discretion, especially for safety reasons.
5. Your profile, listings and itineraries
- Your profile, prices, photos, reels, services and itineraries must be accurate, your own, and not misleading. Show what travelers will actually get at each tier.
- GoLoc's AI tools can draft itineraries and text for you. You are responsible for checking and correcting them before you share or publish them. This includes hotel names, ticket prices, timings and distances.
- Keep your availability calendar up to date so travelers can't book dates you can't serve.
- You give GoLoc a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote your profile and content on the Platform and in GoLoc's marketing while you're a Captain. You keep ownership.
6. Handling bookings
- Respond within 24 hours to every booking request. Unanswered requests expire, and repeated expiries may lower your visibility.
- Honour confirmed bookings. Once a traveler has paid, deliver the service as listed, on time, at the agreed meeting point.
- Start every trip with the traveler's start PIN in the app, and mark it complete when it ends. This is how live tracking, SOS and your payment work.
- Keep your location on during trips so live tracking and SOS work.
7. Keep it on GoLoc
- Never ask for, or accept, payment outside the app for a GoLoc booking. This includes cash, direct UPI or "advance" payments. Tips are fine if the traveler offers.
- Don't ask travelers to cancel and rebook directly with you, and don't use their details to market to them.
- You'll see a traveler's phone number only if they choose to share it on a paid booking. Use it only for that trip, and don't keep or share it afterwards.
Breaking this section is a serious breach and may lead to immediate removal and withholding of commission due on the affected bookings.
8. Commission, payouts and taxes
- GoLoc charges a commission of 18% of the fare for each booking. Commission isn't charged on the trip cover fee. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice in the app before changing the commission rate.
- Your share (the fare minus the commission) is credited to your GoLoc wallet after the trip is completed.
- You can request a payout once your balance is at least ₹500. Payouts go to the bank account or UPI ID you verified with us, usually within 3 working days.
- If a booking is refunded, for example because of a complaint upheld under the Refund Policy, the refunded part of your share is reversed. If you cancel a paid booking, the traveler gets a full refund and you earn nothing for it.
- Taxes: you're responsible for your own income tax and, where applicable, GST registration and returns. As an e-commerce operator, GoLoc will collect or deduct taxes at source where the law requires, such as GST TCS and income-tax TDS. We'll show these deductions in your statements and issue the certificates the law requires. Provide your PAN, and your GSTIN if you have one.
9. Cancellations by you
Avoid cancelling confirmed trips. If you must, cancel in the app as early as possible and explain why. The traveler gets a 100% refund. Repeated or last-minute cancellations without a genuine reason may lead to lower ranking, a temporary hold or removal.
10. Inactive accounts and holds
If your account has no activity for 30 days, it's put on hold: your profile is hidden and payouts are paused. Contact support to reactivate it. GoLoc may also place an account on hold while investigating a complaint, safety issue or suspected breach. Money already earned for completed trips stays yours and is paid out once any investigation ends, minus any amounts properly reversed.
11. Safety and conduct
- Treat every traveler with respect. No harassment, discrimination, intimidation or inappropriate contact, ever.
- Never drive or guide under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Follow traffic laws and keep vehicles roadworthy, clean and insured.
- Don't take travelers to unsafe or illegal places or activities. Don't carry more people than your vehicle is licensed for.
- In an emergency, help the traveler, call 112, and cooperate fully with GoLoc and the authorities.
- Report any accident, injury, crime or serious complaint to GoLoc within 24 hours.
12. Insurance and responsibility
You're responsible for the services you provide. Keep the insurance the law requires, including vehicle insurance with passenger cover if you transport travelers. We recommend public liability cover too. Trip cover sold through GoLoc protects travelers under the insurer's terms. It doesn't replace your own insurance.
13. Travelers' personal data
Use travelers' personal data (names, trip details and phone numbers if shared) only to deliver the booked trip. Keep it confidential and delete it when the trip is over, unless the law requires you to keep it. Don't photograph travelers or post them in reels without their clear permission.
14. Liability and indemnity
You agree to compensate GoLoc for losses, claims, fines and reasonable legal costs that arise from your services, your conduct, your vehicles or premises, your content, or your breach of this agreement or the law. GoLoc's total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the commission GoLoc earned from your bookings in the 3 months before the claim, except where the law doesn't allow such a limit.
15. Ending this agreement
- You can stop being a Captain at any time by contacting info@goloc.in. Please complete or cancel your confirmed trips first.
- GoLoc may end this agreement with 15 days' notice for any reason, or immediately for a serious breach, fraud, a safety risk or a legal requirement.
- After the agreement ends, we pay out your remaining balance for completed trips, minus any amounts properly reversed. Sections 7, 8, 13 and 14 continue to apply.
16. Changes
We may update this agreement. We'll give you at least 15 days' notice in the app before changes take effect, except changes the law requires sooner. If you keep taking bookings after that, you accept them.
17. Law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of India. We'll first try to resolve any dispute informally within 30 days. If we can't, it will be decided by the courts at [City], India.
